Mighty to Save

As my heart aches for my brother and Jen who lost one of their twins, baby Jake, over the weekend I was reminded in church that our God IS mighty to save. And that he is watching over Jay, Jen and baby Ben.

Jesus shine your light on Ben!

Mighty to Save lyrics by Hillsong United
Everyone needs compassion
Love that's never failing
Let mercy fall upon me

Everyone needs forgiveness
The kindness of a savior
The hope of nations

Savior, he can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save

Forever, author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

So take me as you find me
All my fears and failures
Fill my life again

I give my life to follow
Everything I believe in
Now I surrender

Saviour, He can move the mountains
My God is mighty to save
He is mighty to save
Forever, author of salvation
He rose and conquered the grave
Jesus conquered the grave

Shine your light and let the whole world see
We're singing for the glory of the risen king

All my love and prayers go out to Jay, Jen and Ben.

I am so sorry. My heart just breaks for them, but God does work in mysterious ways.

I trust that this is for the health and wellness of Ben and he will grow up to be a remarkable man who will forever have a part of his brother with him.

Our love to Jen, Jay and the entire family.

I saw a sign the other day that said, "God's plan is not always what we think it should be." He is mighty to save and I really like what Lisa said. Of course we just don't know why or what is in store. We just have to trust in Him and rely on our faith to get us to the next day. I am so proud of Jay and Jen and the faith and strength they have shown during this difficult time. We love all of ya'll so much!

Jana,
Today as I was reading my Bible I came across this verse and it touched my heart.
1st Thessalonians 5:17-18
"Pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus."
I pray for Jen to find peace, Jay to keep the faith and for Ben to grow strong and know what remarkable parents he has.
